Designers refused to lend clothes to Kim Kardashian for ‘Elle’ photoshoot

By Sarah McClanahan,

Kim Kardashian’s recent Elle photoshoot was challenging to style because many designers were unwilling to have her model their lines.

According to Elle Magazine, Kim Kardashian’s photoshoot for a three page “His Fair Lady” feature in their March issue was difficult.

The shoot’s stylist, Nicola Formichetti, described dressing her as a “challenge” due to the resistant fashion designers.

“People wouldn’t lend me the clothes. But that’s fashion snobbery,” Formichetti, who is well-known for styling Lady Gaga, commented.

Despite the apparent setbacks, both Formichetti and Kardashian seemed to be enjoying themselves in the keek she posted in January. Although at the time she was keeping the Elle photoshoot a secret, she revealed the day had been “so amazing” and could be considered “every girl’s dream.”

One of the chosen outfits included a leather jacket from Tom Ford and earrings from depuis1924.com priced at $650.

This was not the first time Kim has been snubbed by the fashion world. In 2011, jewelry designer Alexis Bittar refused to lend her any more pieces after he claimed she copied his designs for her own line, reports The New York Post.
