An OB-GYN at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri complained about a patient on Facebook last week.
While some people believe that Dr. Amy Dunbar should be fired, others still vouch that she is a good doctor. The hospital has reprimanded Dunbar, stating that her comments were “definitely inappropriate,” reported Jezebel.
KSDK stated that the comment was posted at 7:19 p.m., January 28. Reportedly, Dr. Dunbar wrote:
“So I have a patient who has chosen to either no-show or be late (sometimes hours) for all of her prenatal visits, ultrasounds and NSTs. She is now 3 hours late for her induction. May I show up later to her delivery?”
A few comments were posted underneath this status update, and then the doctor proceeded to explain herself and her original update.
“Here is the explanation why I have put up with it/not cancelled induction: prior stillbirth.”
Since this incident has occurred, Mercy’s spokesperson has responded about the doctor’s Facebook posting in a statement.
