Drake reportedly denied club entry because Chris Brown was already there

By Daniel S Levine,

Considering the havoc that resulted from last year’s Chris Brown-Drake brawl in New York, it would make sense for any club owner to make sure that the two singers are never in a club at the same time again. That’s exactly what one club owner in Hollywood reportedly did Wednesday night.

TMZ reported that Drake tried to enter the Playhouse club that night, but the bouncers there told the Take Care singer that he could not come in. Brown was already there and the club did not want another brawl to start.

Brown was celebrating the anniversary of Popular Demand, a clothing brand, at the club, according to TMZ’s sources. The bouncers also reportedly knew that Rihanna was going to join him later. Rihanna has been an indirect cause of last June’s fight at the W.i.P. club, since both had dated the singer.

E! News did report that Brown and Rihanna went to the Playhouse Thursday night as well, but they didn’t sit next to each other.

Brown and Drake’s fight last year resulted in a nightmare for W.i.P.’s owners. They left the place trashed, and there is still ongoing litigation involving the singers and the club. Just this week, it was reported that a male model is suing all three. Drake and Brown are asking a judge to place the blame for the fight, but both say they didn’t start it.
