Eva Mendes set to release clothing line with New York & Company

It has just been revealed that gorgeous actress Eva Mendes is releasing her own clothing line, set to sell in US New York & Company stores.

According to Vogue UK, the actress will be involved in all aspects of the line, noting that she will be the ambassador of the brand, as well as being the model for advertisements.

The star recently expressed her excitement over the line to WWD saying, “I have a ton of ideas, but it’s a bit early to discuss them. [The project] is taking up all my time, but in the best way possible. Everything I see is a possible design. My mind is consumed by it.”

Greg Scott, chief executive of New York & Company shared, “There will be pants and jeans because that’s what our brand is known for. Eva is excited to pursue that also. We want her to influence the collection.”

Mendes added, “In this day and age where everybody has a stylist, I appreciate the kind of woman who steps out of the box. I love feeling like an individual. I want to share all these little tips with women.”

Scott mentioned that the company is ecstatic about the new partnership saying, “We have some big aspirations for this brand. We hope [Eva] attracts new customers. This is our first big collaboration. It’s a real turning point for us. It’s going to galvanize our company.”


A release date has not yet been announced for the line.
