Eve claims Britney Spears didn't sing on 'Scream & Shout'

Rapper Eve appeared on Wednesday night's Watch What Happens Live on Bravo, where host Andy Cohen asked her and English chef Nigella Lawson how they felt about Britney Spears' British accent in her hit with will.i.am, "Scream & Shout."

According to omg! Yahoo, Eve replied with, "I heard that might not be Britney," to which she received a multitude of boos from the audience.

She then continued, "That's what I heard, but you know, I don't know. It could be Britney. But I heard it wasn't…"

Spears' publicist, Jeff Raymond, fought back, stating, "It's absolute BS. Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it," reports TMZ.

A source from the recording studio also told TMZ, "Was Eve even in Studio. Didn't know. She's clearly jealous. I didn't even know she still sings."

Today, Eve took to Twitter to address the incident further, stating, "Come on ya'll My comment was not about Britney Spears NOT singing the song- clearly it's her. It was about the British accent-pay attention."
