The band announces new album and world tour

The Boys are back in town. After a three year break, Fall Out Boy revealed that they will be playing together again.

The band stated on their website, "When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music..we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us. the future of [Fall Out Boy] starts now."

The band was sure to point out that "this is not a reunion" as they technically haven't broken up. Band member Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley spent their time off on solo projects. As TheCelebrityCafe.com previously reported, Stump married his longtime girlfriend Elisa Yao in October.

According to Reuters, the album Save Rock and Roll will be released May 6 internationally and on May 7 in the US. The tour kicked off in their hometown of Chicago on Monday night.

Fall Out Boy's newest release "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)," is now available on iTunes.
