New Orleans police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night in New Orleans outside of a Bourbon Street nightclub.
The shooting, which occurred in the city’s French Quarter, wounded four people, one of whom is in critical condition.
According to Reuters, the man in critical condition was shot in the abdomen, upper thigh and pelvic area.
Police told Reuters that a woman was shot in the toe, another woman was shot in the chin and foot, while another man was struck in the buttocks.
Tight crowds packed the streets as people celebrated Mardis Gras, a weeklong party in the Louisiana city that culminates on Fat Tuesday.
A bystander caught the shooting on tape and police are searching for three men. The footage reveals that one of the gunmen and one victim were arguing.
Officer Frank Robertson, a police spokesman told Reuters that one suspect has been identified.
Jackie Counte Cooley, who was visiting for Mardis Gras from Gainesville, GA told The Associated Press, “It's my first Mardi Gras, and I'm having a good time, but I won't be going to Bourbon street.”
