X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer has enjoyed revealing news about the project on Twitter and his latest bit of news was another new castmember. Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage has joined the cast.
Deadline reported the casting news, which Singer later confirmed on Twitter. “Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to#XMEN #DaysofFuturePast,” the director wrote. “Very very excited!”

Dinklage has won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for playing Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s Game Of Thrones, which returns for season three next month.
Singer, who joined Days of Future Past as director in October, will replace X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn. Singer was credited as a producer on the film and recently completed Jack the Giant Slayer. He has continued to update fans on Days of Future Past on Twitter, revealing that Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman will return to the series.
However, Singer is still unsure about Halle Berry, who played Storm in the first three X-Men films.
“I can't say. I don't know yet. And it's not necessarily a deal making aspect at all,” he told MTV News. “I want to make sure it'll make sense. But I love working with her.”
Days of Future Past will be released on July 18, 2014. You can see Singer’s Jack the Giant Slayer in theaters on March 1.
