Prince then comes on stage to present the award for Record of the Year. Gotye and Kimbra win it for "Somebody That I Used to Know," beating out Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, The Black Keys, Fun. and Frank Ocean.
Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake and Neil Portnow then announce The Music Educator Award, which will be given out for the first time next year and honors great music teachers, the "unsung heroes" of the music business.
