A grandmother from Connecticut is suspected to have killed her two grandsons before committing suicide.
ACB News reports the grandmother, Debra Denison, 47, picked up her grandchildren from day care.
When they did not come home, an Amber Alert was signaled. Two hours later, all three were found dead in a car in Preston, Connecticut.
The two boys were Alton Perry, who had just turned 2-years-old on Tuesday and Ashton Perry, who was 6-months-old.
Lt. Paul Vance stated, “She was found in the possession of a handgun,” he says. “We recovered a suicide note," reports The Boston Herald.
The children’s parents, Brenda and Jeremy Perry, told authorities that Denison had split personalities. Despite this knowledge, Dennison was still put on the list of people who had permission to pick up their kids.
“We pulled out all the stops, using all the tools in the tool box, notifying every law enforcement agency in the state and out of state doing an intensive search for those grandkids and the grandma,” Vance said.
The two children and their grandmother were found in a car at 9:30 p.m. yesterday.
