Celebrity chef and TV personality Guy Fieri, 45, tried to get into an A-list bash this past Super Bowl weekend, but was rejected by bouncers.
Us Weekly reports Fieri tried to enter a party going on at the Second Line Studios the night of Feburary 2.
A source tells the magazine, “He couldn't get into VIP. He threw a fit and was kicked out!” The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star has not commented on the story.
According to the Daily News, employees at the restaurant did not recognize Fieri.
Additionally, an onlooker noted, “He didn't have the right bracelet, and nobody in New Orleans knows who anyone is.”
Fieri's reported mini meltdown comes shortly after receiving a harsh review from NY Times food critic, Pete Wells. Wells slammed Fieri's NYC restaurant, saying the food tasted like “chewy air” and described drinks with phrases such as “nuclear waste.”
The star fired back at the outrageous review saying, "I just thought it was ridiculous. I mean, I've read reviews. There's good and bad in the restaurant business. But that, to me, went so overboard, it really seemed like there was another agenda.”
