Isabelle Fuhrman turns 16 today!
Born in Washington, D.C., Isabelle Fuhrman grew up in Atlanta with her CNN journalist mother, Elina Fuhrman, and a former political candidate father, Nick Fuhrman.
Fuhrman debuted her on-screen appearance at the age of seven, in Cartoon Network's series, Cartoon Fridays. Few years later, she debuted her movie appearance in Hounddog, and had Dakota Fanning as her co-star.
The half-Russian actress' performance in Hounddog earned her a role in Orphan, a thriller flick responsible for skyrocketing her fame worldwide.
After her big break, she starred in TV series Ghost Whisperer, acting opposite the famed actress/singer Jennifer Love Hewitt. Fuhrman's performance in this series earns her Young Artist Award.
Fuhrman's movie credits include Justice, an acclaimed performance in The Hunger Games, Salvation Boulevard, and After Earth.
Other than acting, Isabelle Fuhrman is also active in charity work for children. She once became a celebrity ambassador for Save the Children's Caps for Good project, helping to knit hundreds of baby caps in an effort to reduce newborn mortality rate in developing countries.
Fuhrman is listed in the Advisory Board of the Love and Art's Children Foundation, a non-profit organization for children.
