Kris Humphries turns 28 today!
Born in Minnesota, Kris Nathan Humphries had shown sparks of interest in sports since a young age.
He started sports by joining competitive swimming, and earned a place in the top ten in nationals in six events, second after the young Michael Phelps.
Humphries still holds the US national record for 50M and 100M for young boys.
At the age of 12, he gave up swimming for a promising career in basketball.
In high school, his basketball career developed incredibly, earning him a scholarship to Duke University, but he turned it down, and attended University of Minnesota instead.
There, he played well. He was even named Honorable Mention All-America by Associated Press during his university year.
Upon graduation, he began his NBA career by being drafted to Utah Jazz for two seasons. He then moved to Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, and finally, Brooklyn Nets, where he's contracted to spend two years with.
In addition to Humphries' basketball fame, he dated TV personality Kim Kardashian and ended up getting married to her in 2011.
The marriage, however, did not last long. Kardashian filed for divorce after 72 days of marriage.
