Holly Madison: 'I'm going to eat my placenta' after giving birth

Pregnant Playboy model Holly Madison took to her blog Wednesday to talk all-things pregnancy, including her decision to consume her placenta after her daughter is born in March.

Madison snapped a picture of a glass jar with placenta pills on her blog and captioned the photo, “This might sound gross, but I’m totally planning on having my placenta turned into pills I can take after giving birth. I heard it helps women recover faster and I want to recover as quickly as I can!”

According to Us Weekly, after giving birth, the 33-year-old model's placenta will be cleaned, cooked and turned into pills which is reportedly a way to help eliminate the possibility of post-partum depression.

X Men: First Class actress January Jones is said to have also consumed placenta pills after she gave birth to her son Xander, now 1 ½ years-old.

Madison announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Pasquale Rotella in August 2012.
