The mother of TLC star 'Honey Boo Boo' shares her weight loss story

June Shannon, mother to Honey Boo Boo, has reportedly dropped more than 100 pounds in a little over two years.

TMZ states that when June started filming for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo back in January 2011, the star weighed an unhealthy 365 pounds. However, over the past two years "Mama," as she is referred to by her daughters, has whittled her way down to 263 pounds.

According to People, Shannon hasn't done anything out of the ordinary to shed the weight. She shared, “I haven't done any surgeries ... no diet pills ... never went to the gym. But with the show I've been more active."

She continued, “They have me running around and going different places ... I guess it's paying off.”

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo airs on TLC, and focuses on the life of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, as she goes about her everyday life with her parents and three older sisters. The show also gives viewers a chance to see how the star prepares for her junior pageants.

Thompson, 7, first appeared on an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras and won over viewers, pushing TLC to offer the family their own show.

It's been estimated the family earns anywhere from $15,000-$20,000 per episode.
