Jack McBrayer signs on to guest star in ‘The Middle’

By Lena Finkel,

Looks like it didn’t take Jack McBrayer very long before getting back on TV! The 30 Rock actor will be apparently guest starring on ABC’s The Middle.

The series follows a middle class family living in a mid-sized city in the Midwest. According to Vulture, McBrayer will play a “childish and disheveled” dentist who hires Patricia Heaton’s character Frankie Heck as a dental hygienist.

TVLine added that the show is looking to have McBrayer's character, Dr. Ted Goodwin, appear in multiple episodes. This will be his first appearance since wrapping up his role as NBC page Kenneth on 30 Rock last month after seven seasons.

In addition to 30 Rock, McBrayer has appeared in TV shows Arrested Development and Portlandia and also had notable roles in Jason Segel’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Oscar-nominated Wreck-it Ralph.

The Middle is currently in the middle of its fourth season and stars Everybody Loves Raymond’s Patricia Heaton and Scrubs’s Neil Flynn.

It has not been announced when the episodes with McBrayer will air.
