Jamie Foxx is starting off his Sirus XM radio show this weekend by interviewing the family of Trayvon Martin.
The installment of Foxx’s satellite radio show, “The Foxxhole,” will have Martin’s parents, Tracy Martin and Sabrina Fulton in what is dubbed as an “emotional, in-depth conversation.” According to PR Newswire in a Friday release by Sirius XM, the interview will air several times in the days leading up to the February 26 anniversary of the slaying of the teenager.
Foxx participated in an event on February 9 in Miami, giving a speech at the “I am Trayvon, Day of Remembrance Peace Walk.” According to the Miami Herald, hundreds of people gathered on the streets with banners in remembrance of the teenager who would have turned eighteen a few weeks ago. The event featured a stage with musical performances and speeches by Martin’s parents and Foxx.
Martin was shot last year by a neighborhood watch volunteer, George Zimmerman, who is scheduled to stand trial this summer.
