January Jones caused quite a stir last year when admitting that she ate her own placenta in the form of pills after giving birth to her son, Xander. Now the actress is admitting that she wishes she never told anyone.
35-year old Jones told People in March last year, “Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins. It’s something I was very hesitant about, but we’re the only mammals who don’t ingest our own placentas.”
She took the pills every day after giving birth, as well as whenever she felt tired. She then clarified, “It’s not witch-crafty or anything! I suggest it to all moms!”
Now Jones says she regrets opening up about it. She told Glamour UK, “I should never have told anyone about that,” reports omg!.
“It’s a very civilized thing that can help women with depression or fatigue. I was never depressed or sad or down after the baby was born, so I’d highly suggest it to any pregnant woman.”
In fact, Holly Madison is taking her advice and wrote about the pills in her blog recently. "This might sound gross, but I’m totally planning on having my placenta turned into pills I can take after giving birth. I heard it helps women recover faster and I want to recover as quickly as I can!"
