Jennifer Lawrence will continue filming 'Catching Fire' after awards season is over

Jennifer Lawrence is the “it girl” of awards season. The 22-year-old is the Golden Globe and SAG award winner for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. She’s also nominated for an Academy Award.

Lawrence is currently enjoying this fast-paced time in her career, calling it “awesome” and a “very cool thing that’s happening.” Once awards season is over, Jennifer has no plans of slowing down. She’ll go right back to work.

Catching Fire, the second film in The Hunger Games series began filming last September in Atlanta and wrapped up filming in December, according to The Examiner.

With Catching Fire's theatrical release set for November 22, there is still work to be done on the film. At the end of awards season, Jennifer Lawrence will transform back into Katniss and continue filming.

She explained that filming "paused" in December to allow her the time to focus on her other obligations.

“We paused [filming on ‘Catching Fire],” she told Access Hollywood at the Oscar nominees’ luncheon in Beverly Hills on Monday. “I fly out to Hawaii the day after the Oscars. I don’t think I would be able to do it – flying back and forth [without the break].”
