Comedian Jim Carrey has given his take on a new rule of gun ownership.
E! News noted the Liar Liar star tweeted last Saturday about gun ownership.
"Any1 who would run out to buy an assault rifle after the Newtown massacre has very little left in their body or soul worth protecting. ;^\."
Of course, it steals the attention of the pro-gun groups, and sparks negative response toward the actor.
Fox News, for instance, posts a one-sentence response article on their website, entitled "Jim Carrey's Nasty Gun Dig."
The content was, "Funnyman Jim Carrey joins a long list of celebrity liberals who think the lives of those who share a different philosophy than theirs may not be worth all that much."
Despite the backlash Carrey receives there and on Twitter, he does not seem too disturbed by them.
The comedian tweeted Tuesday morning, "Yes, i agree with the ppl who argue that cars can be as deadly as guns but a car is a lot harder to get through the door of a classroom. ;^]."
Well said, Mr. Carrey!
