Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are splitting up after a little more than eight years of marriage.
A source linked to the couple confirmed to Us Weekly about the split.
The source said it was the pair's collective decision.
"It is very amicable. It's not ugly, it's just over."
Brolin and Lane were married back in 2004, and have no children together, as reported by TMZ.
The marriage was not exactly smooth. Months after they got married, the Gangster Squad actor was arrested with spousal battery. The charge was later dropped.
This would be the second divorce for both stars.
Diane Lane was previously married to actor Christopher Lambert, and they have a daughter, Eleanor, together. Brolin was also previously married to actress Alice Adair, and has two children with her, Trevor and Eden.
Lane was Oscar-nominated for her role in the 2002 movie Unfaithful, and starred in other successful movies, such as Under the Tuscan Sun and The Perfect Storm.
Brolin was also a quite successful actor. He was also nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Milk, and starred in the awards-nominated movie True Grit.
