Music’s biggest names - including Justin Bieber and Madonna - are now music’s biggest money makers.
The list of the Top 40 highest paid musicians has been released by Billboard. The list is comprised by a bunch of different numbers, including touring revenue, music sales, royalties, and other figures.
The number one musician on the list is none other than the queen, Madonna, who earned an impressive $34,577,308.62. She owes most of that money to her MDNA tour, which was the highest grossing tour of last year.
Also in the top 10 of the list is Justin Bieber who scored $15,944,293.10 mostly from digital sales and his top selling “Believe” tour.
Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, and Jason Aldean were all top players in the top 10 for the past year, earning over $20 million.
Even though they didn’t make it into the top 10, other young artists scored major bucks this past year, according to MTV News.
One Direction earned a spot at #30 with $7.9 million thanks to there world tour and two #1 albums.
Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood, and Jay Z were also among the Top 40 earning under $12 million.
No matter the numbers, all the artists on the list are well deserved.
