Justin Bieber's mom and Flo Rida weigh in on Grammy snub

By Christopher Rosa ,

Seemingly absent from the impressive array of Grammy nominees this year is Justin Bieber. His album, Believe, was one of the top-selling albums of 2012, churned out Top 40 hits and deepened the sonic persona of the former "Baby" singer.

While Bieber commented on his snub in December, his mom, Pattie Mallette, is now chiming in.

E! News reports Mallette saying she thinks the Grammy voters "blew it."

"It's my boy, I'm a little biased, but yeah, I just heard that he's had five No.1 albums, so I think his music is speaking for himself," she told Fuse.tv.

However, the setback is not deterring Bieber. Pattie says it is pushing him to keep making better music in the hopes that the Grammys will recognize him in the future.

"I think it's kind of good in a way," she admitted. "It gives him something to strive for and a goal to go for."

Flo Rida is also not too happy about Bieber's Grammy diss. While Rida is nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Wild One," he admits Bieber deserved recognition.

"I think he [Bieber] definitely should have been nominated," Rida said.

The Grammys air Sunday night at 8 p.m. on CBS.
