Justin Timberlake’s scandalous comment during New Orleans' DirecTV’s Celebrity Beach Bowl wasn’t directed toward Britney Spears...or anyone in particular.
On Saturday, Justin Timberlake took to the stage in New Orleans for DirecTV’s Celebrity Beach Bowl to perform songs from his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience as well as a few old favorites.
According to E! Online, before starting his mega-hit “Cry Me a River,” Timberlake opened up to the audience.
“Sometimes in life you think you found the one, but then one day you find out that she is just some bitch," he said.
The media was buzzing, claiming that Timberlake had publicly dissed his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. In fact, a fight with Spears was the inspiration for his 2002 track, confirms producer/rapper Timbaland to The Huffington Post.
However, Justin quickly took to Twitter to dismiss those rumors.
He responded to the curious public’s probes with homage to Spears’ most popular tag-line. “Ok. I see you. Wouldn’t disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love saying that though *with accent* #Respect.”
