Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z to headline London’s Wireless Festival 2013

By Daniel S Levine,

Justin Timberlake will take to the stage at London’s Wireless Festival 2013 in July. Timberlake will headline one day, while his “Suit & Tie” collaborator Jay-Z will headline the second day.

Timberlake announced on his website that he will perform on July 12 at the festival, which will be held at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Other performers that day include Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend, Miguel and Frank Ocean.

On the next day, July 13, Jay-Z will perform. Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Calvin Harris, and Kendrick Lamar are also scheduled to perform that day.

Timberlake’s site stressed that this will be his only performance at a U.K. festival for 2013, telling his fans there that it will be a rare chance to see him perform songs from The 20/20 Experience. While he didn’t promise that he will perform with Jay-Z, it wouldn’t be too surprising if they did.

According to The Telegraph, this is the ninth consecutive Wireless Festival and the first to be held at Olympic Park. London mayor Boris Johnson celebrated the announcement, saying that, “It proves that our fantastic Olympic Park is now a destination of choice for world class musical events.”

Tickets go on sale on Feb. 22 at WirelessFestival.co.uk.

Timberlake will be in the U.K. this week to perform at the Brit Awards, which will air on ITV.
