Kelly Clarkson reveals details on how her fiance, Brandon Blackstock, proposed and their future wedding plans.
The couple have been engaged since December of 2012.
She dishes about love, the proposal, and their wedding plans in an interview with People.
Blackstock, 36, allegedly proposed to Clarkson, 30, in their Nashville home. Clarkson recalls not having a clue about the proposal. She says, “Not a damn clue! If I did I would have worn something besides Uggs and a sweatshirt with no bra.”
Access Hollywood reports that she told that she remembers telling Blackstock, “Thanks for being an awesome guy,” before the proposal. She explains, “I’ve never been loved properly by a man, and I was just like, ‘I thank you so much for that.’”
Clarkson discusses looking for love in all the wrong places. She says, “I was dating skinny jeans and I needed Wranglers.”
The couple is planning an outdoor wedding in the fall calling it “earthy.”
On top of wedding plans, Clarkson is busy working on two albums and preparations for the Grammys on February 10.
She adds, “I didn’t know life could be this happy.”
