Khloe Kardashian-Odom, who co-hosted the most recent season of America's X-Factor with Mario Lopez, is rumored to be getting canned from the reality singing competition.
According to the NY Post, the show only asked Lopez to return for the hosting gig. The site reports an insider stated, “They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe.”
The let go wouldn't come as a huge shock to viewers of the show, as the reality star constantly seemed awkward and much less experienced than hosting vet Mario Lopez.
Perez Hilton reports that this would be the third casting change for the upcoming season as former judges Britney Spears and L.A. Reid will not return.
A Los Angeles hosting expert, Marki Costello, talked to the NY Post about Kardashian-Odom's mediocre performance, saying, “It was really hard for me to watch Mario with her. It made me, as a viewer, almost uncomfortable.”
She added, “I am sure there was a big percentage of Khloe’s fans who followed her to ‘X Factor'. But at the end of the day, when she doesn’t know what she is doing, are you helping your show or hurting it?”
Despite the multiple rumors, there has been no official word on Kardashian-Odom's hosting fate. A spokesperson for the show told the NY Post, “The producers have not yet made the talent decisions for this year.”
