Another star is added to the cast of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Kodi Smit-McPhee from thriller Let Me In joins the movie.
Codi Smit-McPhee is a rising star. He gave his voice to the Oscar-nominated ParaNorman, and currently is filming in Jack Paltrow’s Young Ones. He has already completed The Congress, the latest Romeo and Juliet and A Birder’s Guide to Everything, according to Empire.
He is the third actor to join the cast, after Andy Serkis, who will continue playing Caesar the chimpanzee, and Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke, who joined the team earlier this week. The roles for McPhee and Clarke are not revealed, but there is a possibility for them as a father–son relationship.
As a sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the movie sets its release date on May 23, 2014. The plot of the movie is still not revealed and James Franco, who played a scientist in the first movie, is probably not returning to this one, according to Cinema Blend.
