Kris Humphries’ lawyer, Marshall Waller, has submitted updates to court documents, claiming Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy gives her an unfair bias in upcoming legal proceedings pertaining to the former couple’s divorce.
On Feb. 5, Waller filed a new court document, saying Kardashian’s pregnancy has given her an “urgency’ to resolve the case quickly.
“What is really going on here is that an 'urgency' in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something [Humphries] had nothing to do with, is perceived by [Kim] as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial,” Waller wrote, Us Weekly reports.
Waller added of the Kourtney and Kim Take Miami’ star’s pregnancy with boyfriend Kanye West, "Indeed, why would [Kim] plan to get pregnant in the midst of divorce proceedings?" TMZ reports.
Also in the documents, Humphries maintains he wants to be present during Kardashian’s deposition but due to his NBA schedule, that has to be put on hold until this May or June.
Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries after 72 days of marriage in October of last year, but Humphries has been fighting to get an annulment based on the notion that his estranged wife defrauded him into marrying her.
