Despite all the pot-stirring the Humphries team has done recently, Kris Humphries’ divorce lawyer, Marshall Waller, is now dropping Humphries as a client.
In papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday, Waller cited “irreconcilable differences” causing an “irremediable breakdown” of the relationship between client and attorney in an effort to remove himself from the case, according to People.
Humphries and estranged wife, TV star and socialite Kim Kardashian, were set to appear in court with their respective lawyers on Feb. 15. The judge was supposed to rule whether to give Kardashian her divorce, or set another trial date.
Humphries still has out-of-state lawyer Lee Hutton to represent his case, but he will need another California lawyer to sponsor him in the divorce battle, according to TMZ.
Us Weekly reported that Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser is likely to insist on a trial date as early as March. This divorce case has been dragged on for a year and a half, much longer than Kardashian and Humphries’ actual marriage, which only lasted 72 days.
