Lady GaGa announced Wednesday the rest of her Born This Way Ball Tour is cancelled. The singer's intense performance style has given her a "labral tear of the right hip" which needs immediate surgery and a long recovery time.
We announced yesterday the pop star cancelled some of her shows due to the chronic pain. However, the injury has proven to be more severe and GaGa needs some serious resting time to heal.
The announcement was originally made on LittleMonsters.com , but has since gone viral. According to the brief release, further examination of GaGa's injury proved she had this hip tear and only surgery and downtime can fix it.
The social media outreach wishing GaGa well has been astronomical. MTV reports the original LittleMonster.com post has 1,100 comments from fans wishing the star a speedy recovery.
Many fans took to Twitter to express their love for GaGa, whom many fans call Mother Monster.
"I feel a bit less depressed now, Gaga WILL be ok. She just needs to rest + recover," @Isabelle_Gaga Tweeted. @Putyour_pawsup added, "We are all here with you Gaga, get well soon, baby ♥ WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH."
GaGa is also devastated by this cancellation. She Tweeted on Tuesday, "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."
Fans can get refunds for their tickets starting today.
