LeAnn Rimes is taking her dentist to court because his procedures have impeded her ability to perform.
According to TMZ, Dr. Duane C. McKay worked on the 30 year-old country singer’s teeth during various appointments over the course of three years. In particular, McKay had ensured upper front veneers and crowns would help relieve pain from the temporomandibular joint (which connects the jawbone to the skull) while at the same time improving her appearance.
However, instead of soothing her mouth, Rimes blames the dentist for excessive bleeding and inflamed gums as well as tooth pain post-surgery. In fact, since then she has had to endure nine root canals, bone grafting, a temporary bridge, and physical therapy.
In October, LeAnn took to Twitter to express her discomfort. “I feel like I got hit in my right side of my face with a baseball bat,” she complained.

In the lawsuit, Rimes cites McKay for “permanent cosmetic deficiency” which has negatively affected her music career. She is seeking money for past and future earnings that were compromised by her dentist’s negligence and misguided diagnosis.
