LeAnn Rimes is suing her dentist, claiming that her career has been at a standstill thanks to the poor dental work.
The country singer claims that her dentist, Dr. Duane C. McKay, misdiagnosed her dental problems and performed multiple surgeries on her that caused a lot of pain and did not fix the original problems.
In court documents obtained by E! News, Rimes claimed that her "ability to perform as an artist has been and will continue to significantly compromised until all re-treatment is completed." Rimes is seeking compensation for “emotional and psychiatric injuries” and “loss of earnings and future earning capacity.”
The 30-year-old singer has been going to McKay for various procedures since 2009 and even had to cancel tour dates in October to get more dental work done.
“I've been living in a dental nightmare for 10 months. I'm getting back on track though, I hope,” said Rimes on her website in October. “I've had too many detours this year due to dental issues.”
