A 12-year-old Long Island boy was taken into custody for making a hit list that targeted family members, classmates and teachers.
The New York Daily News reported that the seventh grader, who is a student at Finley Middle School in Glen Cove, was creating his list on Thursday when he was spotted by a worried onlooker.
The boy does not have any weapons but is currently undergoing psychiatric evaluation at North Shore Hospital, reported Opposing Views.
The boy is thought to be a victim of bullying and a friend of his believes that the list was created just to scare individuals.
No one is exactly sure why the list was created and authorities have reached out to the families of those children that happened to be on it.
The preteen has no history of violence or irrational behavior but proper precaution is being taken.
Until further notice, the boy will be suspended from school.
