Marc Jacob postpones Fashion Week show due to winter storm

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Following the massive snowfall that has taken over the east coast, fashion designer Marc Jacobs has opted to postpone his Fashion Week show.

According to USA Today, the designer mentioned that the show will be moved to February 14 due to “delivery issues with fabric and accessories."

Jacobs and Duffy are currently missing a handful of bags as well as shoes.

Jacobs and business partner Robert Duffy released a statement to fashion directors who have traveled as far as from London, saying, “We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience or expense this may cause you or your team.”

The statement adds, “We don't want to cause any issues for those who are scheduled to attend the London shows and we know that this schedule change makes for a difficult transition.”

Jacobs previously postponed a show in September 2011 following Hurricane Irene.

WWD reports that Jacobs’s show will remain at the New York Armory.

Jacobs has two lines, Marc by Marc Jacobs in addition to his stand alone name brand Marc Jacobs.
