Fans of American Idol judge Mariah Carey can hold onto their seats because the song bird is giving us new music.
On Tuesday, Carey will be releasing a new song titled "Almost Home." Don’t get too excited though. The song isn’t from a new Mariah album but from the soundtrack to the upcoming film, Oz: The Great and Powerful, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, which focuses on the mysterious character of Oz from The Wizard of Oz is set for a March 8 release date. It stars James Franco as Oz, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams. It will be released by Disney and was directed by Sam Raimi.
This track "Almost Home" was co written by Mariah Carey and will be released on February 19. A music video accompanying the single will be released in the upcoming weeks.
According to MTV.com, Carey is preparing her vocal chords for her own album release sometime this Spring.
