Mark Heller attempts to delay Lindsay Lohan court case, claims she wants to 'clean up her image'

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Lindsay Lohan’s legal team continues to fight to keep her out of jail, this time requesting more time before her next court appearance so she can prove that she has turned her life around.

According to Perez Hilton, Lohan’s new lawyer Mark Heller has petitioned the court to delay her case stating this way it “will enable the Defendant who is pursuing and participating in certain activities which will benefit her and afford her more of an opportunity to be a productive and responsible person and contributor to society.”

Heller is attempting to pull out all the stops in her case in which she is being charged with lying to police for her June 2012 car accident. Just yesterday it was announced that Lohan is attempting to work with underprivledged girls to clean up her image. Among other activities that Heller is claiming the troubled actress will engage in to “clean-up” her image includes charitable events and “various public services.”

Heller previously tried to have her case thrown out, claiming that the 26-year-old was not properly Mirandized.
