An upstate New York woman from Penn Yan was said to be visiting her son in jail when she passed drugs to him by kissing him.

The 54-year-old mother, Kimberly Margeson, reportedly gave her 30-year-old son, William Partridge, two painkiller pills on Tuesday of last week, according to the NY Daily News.

CBS stated that Margeson hid the Oxycodone pills in her mouth before visiting him, which she then passed to him while giving him a kiss.

Authorities have not explained how the drugs were discovered. The painkillers, however, were claimed to be for Partridge’s personal use.

Margeson was arrested and was charged with a misdemeanor for promoting prison contraband, as well as a drug felony.

She has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Her son, Partridge, was also charged with a misdemeanor for promoting prison contraband on top of the original charges for a previous weapons offense.

According to The Smoking Gun, Margeson appeared in court yesterday and was released on a $2,000 bail. Her son remains in jail and will be called to court on Monday concerning the contraband charges.
