New In Comics - February 27

By Michael R. Murray,

Well it’s a short week and I’m happy for that.  A small order means less time getting it all done, less money and a chance to bank more, and more time to read.  I say read but I’ve still got to get those invoices reconciled for the accountant.  None of that you care about.  You’re here to see what might be worth going to a comic shop for this week…

Dark Horse Comics has sold out of Star Wars #1's third printing, $2.99…

DC Comics has got Batman Incorporated #8, $2.99, Written by Grant Morrison with a cover and interior art by Chris Burnham.  Everything Morrison has been planning since the start of Batman Incorporated leads to this stunning issue.  DC promises that “You must not miss this one!”  If you’re interested, go quickly.  It’s sold out and rumor has it that Robin will die (again) in this issue…

IDW looks like it’s got a hit on its hands with Borderlands Origins #1 (of 4)3rd printing, $3.99.  This is sold out and the 4th printing is already “low” stock.  Borderlands Origins #2 (of 4) 2nd printing, $3.99, is also coming this week and also sold out.  Mike Neumann and Agustin Padilla are telling the back story to the hugely popular video game Borderlands…

TMNT Secret History of the Foot Clan #3 (of 4), $3.99, written by Mateus Santolouco and Erik Burnham with art by Mateus Santolouco is also sold out.  This features the multi-generational story of the Foot Clan from their origins in Feudal Japan to the epic rematch of the present day with the Turtles…

Image Comics is also sending some sold out books with Nowhere Men #1 3rd printing, $2.99, by Eric Stephenson, Nate Bellegarde, and Jordie Bellaire.  Science may be the new Rock ‘N’ Roll, but who ultimately pays the price when progress is made at any and all costs?...

We’re also getting the also sold out Nowhere Men #3 2nd printing, $2.99, in which some disasters are bigger than others…

Marvel Comics has a full stock this week being sold out of only some of their variant incentive covers, so getting and reading any of the books this week should be easy…

AC Comics is publishing classics stories from the 1950’s in Crypt of Horror #16, $29.95.  That’s sold out…

Action Lab Entertainment has been marketing the heck out of NFL Rush Zone Season of the Guardians #1, $3.99,and three of their variant covers are sold out;  Broncos, Cardinals, and Chargers.  No.  I didn’t get one.  I wanted one but had to order way too many regular covers to make it worth it…

Jim Balent’s Tarot Witch of the Black Rose #27 double deluxe edition,$24.99, from Broadsword Comics is sold out…

There is still plenty more that aren't listed. For a more complete list, feel free to visit your local comic store  or favorite site. If you’re interested in more of what I think, follow me on Twitter at Mycomicstore001 or like my Facebook page.
