Eminem will indeed be releasing a new album in 2013 shortly after Memorial Day, according to a source close to his record label, Shady Records.
The source is Paul Rosenberg, the record executive made famous for the Marshall Mathers LP track, “Paul." Rosenberg, who is president of Shady Records, told Billboard that Eminem is already “far into the process” of recording his new album. The title of the work is yet to be released.
This will be Eminem’s first album since his 2010 release of Recovery. Since then, he has worked on several other collaborative projects.
Rosenberg also says that the rapper also has some dates already scheduled for performances in Europe this August. He added that the label will also release a new 50 Cent album this year.
According to The Sun in Britain, Shady's first single will feature a sample with a hook by British singer Jamie N Commons. This will give the rapper an extra dimension of appeal when he headlines the UK’s Reading and Leeds Festival this summer.
