New Jersey’s ‘Tan Mom’ was not indicted Tuesday for charges of child endangerment even though she took her 5-year-old daughter to a tanning salon session.
According to Fox News, the Essex County grand jury did not charge the tanning mother, Patricia Krentcil, with the crime.
Krentcil was originally put in the spotlight when teachers at her daughter’s school discover burns on the young girl. The girl admitted that she was taken to a tanning salon. In New Jersey, it is illegal for minors under the age of 14 to use tanning booths.
Krentcil told The New York Post, “I like to tan. That’s not a crime.”
Krentcil recently told Britain’s The Sun, that she wanted to move to England because she felt that people there are more open-minded and stay out of each other’s lives.
The tanning mom ignored doctors’ warnings that use of tanning beds can cause skin cancer. The mother has stated that tanning is her addiction.
