Nick Carter engaged! Last single Backstreet Boy off the market

Nick Carter has officially popped the question to 29-year-old fitness expert Lauren Kitt. And she said yes!

He hinted at the proposal earlier today via Instragram, writing, “Big Question…great answer” along with a photo of the two of them.

The 33-year-old told People, “I had the ring in my pocket for two weeks. I was like, 'I don't want it anymore!' It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers.”

Luckily Carter was able to wait until the perfect moment — a romantic boat ride to a secluded island. But unfortunately, that moment didn’t go as perfectly as planned.

He explained, “My boat was in such bad condition because I hadn't used it for, like, six years. It took me five days literally on my hands and knees, scraping up my body [to fix it,]. The engine wasn't complete yet but we still decided to go out."

After the engine stalled for a bit, the boat eventually got going and made it to the island.

Kitt said “yes” of course and claims, “I wasn't expecting it. It just felt very surreal.”

Carter is the last of the Backstreet Boys to get married with A.J McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell already married with kids.
