One Direction is giving back to charity by giving fans a brand new song.

Well, it’s not brand new to the world but new to One Direction and to their young fans. The UK band has recorded and released “One Way or Another”, originally performed by Blondie, according to MTV.com.

Proceeds from record sales will go to the charity Comic Relief in order to help them celebrate the 25th anniversary of their fundraising event “Red Nose Day.”

1D recently traveled to Ghana to visit with the children that “Red Nose Day” supports, reported by The Sun. The boys reportedly were very emotional about seeing the sick children that have basically nothing.

“One Way or Another” was released as an iTUNES track on February 17, but the song was previously leaked, which was very upsetting to One Direction as well as to the producer of the song, Julian Bunetta.

One Direction will bring this journey full circle when they perform the charity single on the Brit Awards on February 20. They will also release a music video to go along with the song in upcoming weeks.
