Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are teaming up in a new comedy by 20th Century Fox, The Internship. The first trailer for the film was released on the web today featuring, as Wedding Crashers fans should expect, some hilarious gags.
The film’s storyline follows Vaughn and Wilson as they make one last attempt to start a good career by applying for an internship at Google. However, they find out that it’s a little harder than they originally anticipated, as they have to compete with a group of nerdy 20-somethings, fresh out of school.
The Los Angeles Times noted that the trailer was launched in parallel with a Google+ hangout hosted by Conan O’Brien. The actors took questions from fans, and Vaughn talked about the fate of AskJeeves.com (“I think Jeeves is probably taking a long-deserved rest”) while Wilson gave advice to people looking for internships.
Google didn’t allow the production to film at its campus in Mountain View, Calif., nor does it have any stakes in the project. The company did, however, lend a hand by letting the crew visit in September to ensure the accuracy of details in the film.
The film also stars John Goodman, Aasif Mandvi, B.J. Novak, Will Ferrell and Rose Byrne. It hits theaters on June 7.
