‘Paperman’ producer thrown out of Oscars after win

By Lena Finkel,

After winning the Oscar for best animated short, the producer of Disney’s Paperman Christina Reed was thrown out of the award show.

In the film, a young man uses paper airplanes to find the girl that he met while waiting for a train. Reed decided to have her own fun with airplanes not too long after winning the award and threw about three or four with kisses on them, just like in the film, from her seat in the mezzanine, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Although the paper planes were nowhere near the stage, and most of crowd didn’t even notice, security was not pleased with her little stunt and quickly escorted her from the auditorium.

Luckily, the ban was only temporary and Reed was allowed back in after about 10 minutes and a little protest.

According to The L.A Times, Paperman beat out The Longest Daycare, Adam and Dog, Fresh Guacamole and Head Over Heels to win the Academy Award.

Director John Kars accepted the award, which also happened to be his first Academy Award win and nomination.
