Patti Mallette thinks son Justin Bieber's Grammy snub 'gives him something to strive for and a goal to go for' (Video)

Justin Bieber’s mom, Patti Mallette, is disappointed in her son’s Grammy snub.

Mallette said she thinks the members of the Recording Academy “blew it” by not nominating him for any awards this year.

“I think they blew it," she told Fuse TV. "It's my boy, I'm a little biased. I just heard that he's had now five No. 1 albums, so I think his music is speaking for itself."

Indeed, Bieber has made history by becoming the first artist to have five No. 1 hit albums before turning 19.

She went on to say that although she is disappointed, she thinks “it's kind of good in a way. It gives him something to strive for and a goal to go for."

Bieber has addressed the Grammy snub before, saying candidly to Billboard, “My whole life I've dreamed of winning a Grammy. At this point, the excitement of that has gone down. I'm more excited to just make great music for my fans. That's just something that if it happens, it happens."The Huffington Post reports.
