It looks like the story on the fight between Chris Brown and Frank Ocean is over, at least as far as officials are concerned. Police are reportedly set to close their investigation without pressing any charges.
Last week, Brown, Ocean and their crews got into a brawl outside a Los Angeles recording studio, reportedly over a parking spot. Over the weekend, Ocean took to Tumblr to forgive Brown for the incident, writing that he does not plan to pursue the issue any further or sue the singer.
The Los Angeles Police Department told E! News early today that they are ready to close its investigation. A spokesperson said that they will likely not press misdemeanor assault charges on Brown. However, they will speak with Ocean one more time before closing the case.
However, the fight might still play an interesting role in a completely unrelated case.
Last year, when Brown was involved in a brawl at a New York nightclub, NBA star Tony Parker was injured and filed a $20 million lawsuit against the club.
Parker filed new court documents citing Brown’s fight with Ocean as proof that Brown shouldn’t be allowed in public at clubs, according to TMZ.
