President Obama's golfing getaway

By Deana DeLisio,

What a weekend! With it being a holiday weekend, as Monday is Presidents Day, the president and his friends are spending their time at the Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Florida.
Mr. Obama’s most famous competitor is Tiger Woods, whom he hosted at the White House in 2009.

Accompanied by outgoing United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Houston businessman Jim Crane, Houston lawyer Tony Chase and another Houston businessman Milton Carrol joined the entourage, as reported in USA Today.

This was Mr. Obama’s first round against Tiger Woods, one of the best golfers of all time, stated CBS News.

On Saturday, the president had played against Woods’s former coach, Butch Harmon, where he provided the president with golfing lessons and tips.

Obama’s other partners on Saturday consisted of Eric Whitaker, the president’s longtime friend from Chicago, as well as Ron Kirk.

First lady Michelle Obama is with their two daughters on their annual vacation to a ski resort in Colorado.
