Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen split

The Notebook beauty Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have opted to go their separate ways after two years of dating.

According to Us Weekly, a source close to the couple confirmed that McAdams and Sheen have split.

Sheen and McAdams met on the set of Woody Allen’s, Midnight in Paris , but maintains that the couple were just friends and didn’t get romantic until afterward. “Michael and I didn't get together while we were filming Midnight in Paris, which I feel strongly about not doing when I'm working. We became quite good friends, which I think is a great way to start," the 34-year-old actress previously explained.

ET Online notes it is unclear why the two called it quits, but notes that distance may be a factor as the couple is constantly traveling for work.

McAdams' upcoming projects include About Time and A Most Wanted Man, while Sheen’s include, Admission, Mariah and Mundi and the Midas Box, Masters of Sex and Cut Bank.
