Reeva Steenkamp has been laid to rest

Reeva Steenkamp, Olympian Oscar Pistorius' girlfriend whom he allegedly shot, had been laid to rest in a private ceremony in Port Elizabeth, South Africa last Tuesday.

The funeral was reportedly filled with tears and grief, as reported by NBC News.

Her brother Adam Steenkamp spoke to the media after her funeral, saying that he felt there was a space missing in his life.

“There’s a space missing inside all the people that she knew,” he said. “Everyone is sad understandably, but at certain points we were smiling whilst remembering Reeva because we only have good memories of her."

The former South African FHM cover girl's uncle Mike Steenkamp thanked people who had sent supporting messages for her family.

He said that he was touched that people were touched by Reeva's passing.

An ex-jockey who used to work for Reeva's father, said that Pistorius had become a very dangerous man, Reuters reported.

"Without a doubt. He's a danger to the public. He'll be a danger to witnesses. He must stay in jail. He's already shown how dangerous he can be for what he did to Reeva."

Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead four times on Valentine's Day, as reported by E! News.

The runner reportedly thought Reeva was an intruder, but there was also a speculation about domestic incident history.

She was 30 years old.
